Dear Great Hearts Community,
The State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) is quickly approaching, and we would like to share the scheduled testing dates with you. We kindly ask that, when possible, you plan appointments around these dates to ensure your scholar is present for testing.
Providing a good breakfast and arriving at school on time ensures a positive start to the testing day. When students complete their testing, they may read a book of their choice, so please help your child remember to pack a book to read. As always, books should be from the classical cannon without reference to pop culture.
If your scholar is absent or arriving late on the day of their assessment, please notify their teacher by email.

• Grade 3 – Thursday, April 9
• Grade 4 – Wednesday, April 8
• Grade 5 – Thursday, April 9
• Grade 6 – Wednesday, April 8
Math STAAR Testing Dates
• Grade 3 – Tuesday, April 21
• Grade 4 – Wednesday, April 22
• Grade 5 – Tuesday, April 21
• Grade 6 – Wednesday, April 22
Science STAAR Testing Date
• Grade 5 – Tuesday, April 14
