Quarter 4, Week 11

Announcements

1. Tomorrow on Wednesday (May 28), students should bring extra reusable bags in order to take home all locker supplies and materials at the end of the day. 

2. Sixth-grade Promotion will be held at 7pm in the Upper School Gym on Wednesday, May 28. Students are asked to arrive at 6:30pm to prepare for the ceremony. We hope to see you there!

3. All library books are due! Please check in with your student to see if they have any books still checked out. 

4.. The Summer Meal Program provides free, healthy meals to enrolled students over the summer. Visit summerfood.org or call 211 for more information.

1. Rising 7th graders are invited to apply to be a MS Student Ambassador next year. To read more information about the ambassador committee and to access the middle school application, click here. Applications are due TODAY, Monday, May 5th. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Melissa White (melissa.white@greatheartstxschools.org).

2. The Spring Music Concert is this Friday. Students should be at Trinity Baptist Church by 5:10pm in their concert attire. Plan to be early as traffic can be quite heavy at that time. Please see the email and flyer sent out recently for more information.

Quarter 4, Week 6

 Announcements

1. Students will need their own copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain starting tomorrow, April 22

2. This Wednesday, April 23 students will take the Math STAAR test. Please ensure they get sufficient rest on Tuesday night and eat breakfast on Wedensday morning, so that they can perform their best. It is also important that they bring at least 2 books to read. Once they finish the test, they will only be allowed to read until the entire grade is done testing. 

3. If you are able to donate items for the Roman Republic Celebration this Friday, please sign up here. If you already signed up, please have your student bring your donations this week. Non-perishables can come anytime this week; please send in perishables/refrigerated items on Friday. Thank you!
